PTI leader Mashal Yousafzai has dismissed reports suggesting that Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, is set to enter politics.
Speaking to a private news channel, Yousafzai clarified that Bushra Bibi remains apolitical and is solely focused on securing her husband’s release from custody. She labeled the claims about Bibi’s political involvement as baseless.
Meanwhile, PTI founder Imran Khan has issued what he described as a “final call” for a protest in Islamabad on November 24. The protest aims to challenge the “stolen mandate,” denounce the “unjust arrests” of PTI members, and oppose the recent passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment Bill.
Speaking to journalists after meeting Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Wednesday, his sister Aleema Khan reiterated the urgency of the protest. She said that the call is for all PTI ticket holders, members of parliament, workers, and supporters.
Speaking on the 26th Amendment being enacted as law, she quoted Imran as saying, “All of your rights have been taken away; the Supreme Court has been occupied, and the current conditions are even worse than previous martial laws.”
Aleema, while quoted Imran Khan, said that this is a decisive moment to choose between living under martial law or fighting for freedom, adding that call specifically targets farmers, lawyers, civil society, and students, urging them to take a stand for their rights.
