A worsening fog crisis across Pakistan has disrupted air travel, leading to numerous flight delays and cancellations.
On Friday, airport authorities reported the cancellation of 11 flights and delays to 53 others. Moreover, three flights were rerouted to alternate airports due to poor visibility.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cancelled flights PK340 and PK341 between Karachi and Faisalabad, as well as PK322 and PK323 between Lahore and Quetta, citing unfavorable conditions. A Saudi Airlines flight from Jeddah to Lahore was also diverted to Islamabad.
