PTI announces Barrister Ali Gohar as nominee for caretaker chairman

Lahore: Barrister Ali Zafar Wednesday announced that Pakistan Tehrerek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will not be contesting for Intra-Party elections.

According to the details, Ali Zafar announced that barrister Ali Gohar will be the nominee for intra-party elections. The purpose of the caretaker chairman is not minus one.

The intra-party elections of PTI are going to be held on Saturday, told Zafar.

He also stated that there is no concept of PTI without Chairman Imran Khan. He is the only vision of the party. We have no words to thank former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Talking to the media, Barrister Gohar stated that he would fulfill his duties till Mr. Khan came back.

Who is Barrister Gohar Khan?

A higher-ranking advocate in the Supreme Court, Barrister Gohar Khan is one of the most respected lawyers in Pakistan.

He received a law degree from Wolverhampton University, UK with LLM from Washington School of Law, USA, and has dozens of reported judgments to his credit on wide-ranging subjects.

In his glittering career, he appeared before the Supreme Judicial Council, Field General Court Martial, and its Court of Appeal.

in previous years, he remained part of the PPP and contested elections for but could not succeed. Khan later joined the Imran Khan-led party in July last year while he also serves as the lead counsel for former Prime Minister Imran Khan, handling the myriad of legal cases involving the party.
