The makers of CID have officially confirmed that Shivaji Satam, who portrays the character of ACP Pradyuman, is going to leave the show. The channel is already facing backlash from fans after the character of ACP was killed off in CID.
According to a report by Indian Express on Sunday, an announcement by Sony TV on X, Shivaji Satam will no longer be seen in CID, with the statement, “In the loving memory of ACP Pradyuman… A loss that will never be forgotten.” Fans did not receive the announcement positively.
One fan declared the act of the Indian TV channel as shameful, saying, “Shame on you, seriously. Iss channel se kuch achhe ki ummid karna hi bekar hai. (It’s a waste to expect anything good from this channel.) Delete the post right now…”

Another fan angrily commented, “This is unacceptable, and shame on you, SonyTV. Have you lost your mind writing this? There is only one ACP PRADYUMAN, and that is our dearly Shivaaji Satam sir.”

Many fans deemed the tweet by the Indian TV channel as shameful, calling it a ‘big disrespect’ to both the character of ACP and the actor Shivaji Satam.
Notably, Satam also reacted to reports of his exit from CID, telling Mid-Day, “I am personally not aware if the character will be exiting the show or not. Currently, I am enjoying a nice long holiday and have not been informed about any future shooting for CID.”
