The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Friday launched a crackdown against the illegal issuance of mobile phone SIMs in the country.
According to details, the franchise retailers had also been arrested. The PTA had launched a crackdown against the ill-mannered usage of the finger prints and issuance of the SIMs illegally.
The PTA and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had launched a crackdown at the franchises in Dayalpur and Okara.
During the raid, 25 suspected SIMs and two biometric verification system (BVS) devices were seized.
