The official anthem of the Peshawar Zalmi for the Pakistan Super League has been announced ahead of the beginning of the 9th season of the best Twenty20 league in the nation.
Along with Zahoor and Asfandyar Asad, Abdullah Siddiqui wrote and produced the anthem.
The Zalmi skipper Babar Azam and well-known actor Hania Aamir are also featured in the hymn video.
Ahead of the first match, the opening ceremony will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium where prominent celebrities including Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, Arif Lohar, and Noori will enchant the cricket fans with fireworks and a laser show.
The fans will begin to gather inside the stadium starting from 03:30 pm, with the ceremony kicking off at 06:30 pm.
It is pertinent to mention that PSL 9 will be hosted by four cities of Pakistan – Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan – with the final to be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18.
The previous year’s format will be followed with the tournament taking place in two legs. The first leg will be hosted by Lahore and Multan and will comprise of first 14 matches before the action shifts to Rawalpindi and Karachi, where 16 matches will be played starting from February 28.
The final stage – comprising of a qualifier, two eliminators, and the final – will shift to Karachi from March 14 to 18.
