A gynecologist at a private clinic in Mian Channu, Punjab, has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate conduct during a medical examination.
The doctor, identified as Dr. Rafeeq Gujjar, allegedly engaged in an unorthodox and non-medical practice by making physical contact between his tongue and that of a female patient during a consultation.
The incident came to light after the patient’s husband, Ejaz Ghani, who was present during the examination, recorded the encounter on his mobile phone. Visibly disturbed, Ghani confronted Dr. Gujjar on camera, questioning the legitimacy of the purported procedure. The video, which has since gone viral across social media platforms, has sparked public outrage and prompted swift action by local authorities.

In the video, Ghani can be heard demanding an explanation, saying, “Doctor, if this test is newly invented, then inform us. If this method is standard practice, then I will call your wife and request the same test. Otherwise, admit your wrongdoing or end this matter here and now.” His remarks reflect the widespread disbelief and anger surrounding the incident.

As the footage circulated online, it triggered an immediate response from law enforcement. Dr. Gujjar was arrested, and a formal case was registered against him under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertains to sexual assault.
The accused has denied the allegations, and authorities have assured the public that a comprehensive and transparent investigation is underway.
A spokesperson for the local police confirmed that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly examined, and the facts will be disclosed upon the conclusion of the inquiry.
