LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that we are strengthening the institutions free from political interference.
Chaudhry Sarwar while talking to media in Lahore said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has no personal agenda, only the development and prosperity of the country is his mission.
“For the first time in the history of the country, a government is taking action against the mafia while we are making the institutions free and strong from political interference,” he said.

The Punjab Governor said that due to negligence in social distancing during Eid-ul-Azha and Muharram, coronavirus could get out of control again and strict implementation of SOPs in cattle markets would take time.
He said that the role of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in dealing with coronavirus would go down in history.
On the other hand, according to government orders, the Punjab government had decided to keep the markets closed for nine days on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha to stop the spread of the coronavirus. It was decided in the meeting that unnecessary markets would be closed on Eid across Punjab. Markets will be closed for selected days to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
