ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has allegedly arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Senator Azam Swati from the federal capital in a prohibited funding case.
According to details, FIA sources confirmed the arrest of Senator Azam Swati in the prohibited funding case. Family sources say that Azam Swati has been arrested from the Chak Shahzad area of Islamabad.
According to media reports, Swati have been detained from Chak Shehzad’s farmhouse. Family sources ssaid that his arrest was carried out between Wednesday and Thursday night.
It should be noted that Senator Azam Swati in his recent statement termed CDA and FBR as the root of corruption and demanded the beheading of corrupt persons. He said that the government has failed against such institutions.

Speaking at the August session of the Senate chaired by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, Minister of State for Law Malik Shahadat Awan said that action was taken against 117 illegal societies in Islamabad.
Senator Azam Swati said that CDA and FBR are the roots of corruption, our government also failed to take action against them, corrupt people should be beheaded. According to Malik Shahadat Awan, corruption will end in our era.
