Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt has made a surprising revelation about her father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, claiming that he converted to Islam to marry actress Soni Razdan.
Speaking in a recent YouTube interview, she shared details about her father’s personal life, saying she respects his choices while emphasizing the importance of honesty and responsibility in relationships. Her comments have sparked widespread discussion on social media.
She questioned whether a father is better who openly acknowledges his love or one who keeps secret relationships and lives a double life.
According to Pooja Bhatt, although Mahesh Bhatt started a new life with Soni Razdan, he did not completely sever ties with her mother. She said that in 1986, he converted to Islam for his second marriage so that he would not have to divorce his first wife.
She further added that one of her father’s qualities is that once he commits to someone, he does not easily let go of them.
