QUETTA: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PMLN) and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the politics of today, which is based on animosity and revenge, cannot solve problems of the masses .

He was addressing a press conference here on Sunday. Former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and PPP leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar were also present on this occasion.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the politics of hatred couldn’t solve Pakistan problems and the problems facing the masses had been left far behind. He said the facts were far bitter than those being shown on media or being printed in newspapers. “No one including personalities and institutions can be absolved of their responsibilities in present situation,” he said.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the 10 to 20 years old problems could not be solved in 8 months as there was no miracle type solution available, adding that difficult decision needed to b taken for stability in the country. He further said “the solution lies in fully implementing constitution in letter and spirit, and not the partial implementation.”
Speaking on this occasion, Miftah Ismail said the (Shehbaz-led) government delayed by at least 4 months to go for talks with the IMF, adding that Pakistan has to return $21 billion of loan this year.
He said Pakistan these days was faced with difficult economic situation as people were facing hardships, and that time had come to give due rights and due strength to the masses, and similarly, rights should also be given to districts and provinces. He further said political stability was the need of the hour to solve problems facing the country.
