Policeman shot dead in Mansehra

MANSEHRA: Unidentified criminals killed a policeman of the Abbottabad police’s Elite Force during the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to details, unknown armed men opened fire when the Elite Force jawan left his house for Taraweeh prayers. Muhammad Shabbir was attacked within the jurisdiction of the Khaki police station.
Shabbir’s assailants fled after opening fire at him. The deceased’s body was sent to the King Abdullah Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered at the Khaki police station against unidentified attackers. Earlier, three members of a family were killed when the roof of a house partially collapsed in the Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi.
The roof of a house situated at the upper-storey of a four-storey residential building in Gulistan-e-Johar area partially collapsed, killing three people under the debris.
The deceased identified as Aurangzaib, Sheeza, and Abdul Hadi. Rescue teams reached the spot and retrieved the dead bodies from the rubble and shifted them to hospital. The deceased is said to be the residents of Nawabshah.
The area resident declared that the building is 25 years old and posses danger to area residents while MNA elected from the constituency Alamgir Khar had held responsible Sindh Building Control Authority which allows the construction of illegal buildings by taking bribes.
