ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Police Counter-Terrorism Department Wednesday foiled a major terrorist plot in the federal capital and arrested two wanted outlaws.
According to details, the police arrested two wanted terrorists from Sangjani area during a major operation. The arrested terrorists were identified Hamza alias Ghaziur Rehman and Sher Alam alias Umar.
These terrorists were planning attacks on Islamabad Capital Police, political leaders, law enforcement agencies and political gatherings and activities in the future.
Terrorist Ghaziur Rehman received terrorist training from Afghanistan two months ago, this terrorist moved to Bannu with his family during Zarb-e-Azb and stayed for two years, in 2016 he moved to his native area again, in 2021 Ghaziur Rehman came to the federal capital Islamabad and stayed as a security guard in the security company.

Terrorist Sher Alam is a resident of Peshawar, who worked at a kiln for three to four years and gained experience in vehicle wiring during that time. In 2016-17, he received a one-week military training from Mulanbi Makraz Tahal and then moved to Afghanistan from where he received another 40 days of training from Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan in Torabora. Further investigation is underway into the matter.
