PESHAWAR: Police have arrested the chief of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM), Manzoor Pashteen, from Shaheen District, Peshawar early morning on Monday, officials said.
Official Shiraz Khan of the Tahkal police station has confirmed the arrest. Police officials said the PTM chief is being shifted to Dera Ismail Khan where an FIR was lodged against him.

While taking to social media PTM senior leader and MNA Mohsin Dawar said, “Last night Manzoor Pashteen was arrested in Tehkaal, Peshawar. This is our punishment for demanding our rights in a peaceful & democratic manner. But Manzoor’s arrest will only strengthen our resolve. We demand the immediate release of Manzoor Pashteen.”
