RAWALPINDI: The lawyers’ wing of Pakistan Muslim League (N) has approached the court of Senior Civil Judge, with a plea to withdraw arrest warrants issued against Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
A petition filed by the PMLN Lawyers’ Wing said Rana Sanaullah was the Federal Interior Minister, and contrary to an investigation report by the Anti-Corruption Establishment of Punjab, he was not hiding anywhere. Since the arrest warrants carried the address of Faisalabad, therefore, the same be canceled, prayed lawyers of PMLN.
The lawyers in their petition alleged that the ACE Punjab stated wrong facts to get the arrest warrants issued and that under section 76 CrPC, this court could withdraw arrest warrants and order Investigation Officer to accept surety bonds.
