PM to address convention for overseas Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s convention for overseas Pakistanis, which aims to shed light on the federal government’s initiatives for overseas Pakistanis.

In his message on social networking site Twitter, PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan said that the prime minister would address the historic Overseas Convention of PTI to be held in Islamabad this afternoon.

In a tweet, Faisal Javed Khan said that officials and workers of PTI Overseas Wing from all over the world have reached Islamabad to attend the Convention of Overseas Pakistanis and listen to the address of the prime minister.

Earlier, the PTI federal government decided to convene a National Assembly session on March 21 to fight a no-confidence motion against the prime minister. The no-confidence vote will be held on March 28.

The prime minister himself took to the field against the no-confidence motion. The PTI wants to resolve other political crises in the country, including the opposition’s no-confidence motion, ahead of the OIC meeting.
