ISLAMABAD: PM Shehbaz Sharif has launched several projects related to information technology, in which Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir attended the seminar as the guest of honor.
The Federal Ministers of Planning, Finance, Defence, Defense Production, Investment Board, Foreign Affairs, Information Technology, and Telecommunication, Information, and Broadcasting also participated in yesterday’s ceremony.
The prime minister announced the government’s support to turn IT into a dynamic revenue-generating and thriving industry and visited booths set up by IT companies, during which the prime minister inaugurated Tech Destination Pakistan, Tech Lift Boot Camp, First Knowledge Park for Women Bagh (Azad Jammu and Kashmir), Agri-Tech Incubator Faisalabad and Center of Excellence in Gaming and Animation.

Addressing the ceremony, PM Shehbaz Sharif said, “The youth of our country is intelligent, hardworking and courageous, our youth are doing excellent services in various fields, our youth have a lot of talent, 60% of the population of Pakistan consists of youth, despite the lack of facilities and opportunities, the youth are doing professional work in the best way.
He said that many projects will be included in the national stream in the next few months, all resources are being used to increase exports and investments, national projects for economic recovery have the support of all stakeholders, implementation of economic projects will make the country prosperous, investors will be provided with all facilities through the one-window method.
Shehbaz Sharif further said that under the strategy, increasing employment opportunities and productivity is a priority, we want to take IT exports to $20 billion. “We will ensure the provision of all facilities to the youth in the IT sector, we are leading the country on the path of development with hard work and dedication,” he added.
