ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent incident of desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the recent incident of desecration of the Holy Quran and said that he will create a joint strategy from the platform of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. “OIC has to play a role in interpreting the feelings of the Muslim Ummah,” he asserted,
Shahbaz Sharif said that the continuation of these incidents is a part of a political and satanic agenda, the world of Islam and the Christian world must stop this conspiracy, it is a promotion of hatred which international law does not allow.
On the other hand, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that provocative acts under the guise of freedom of expression are illegal, international law prohibits incitement to hatred on the basis of religion.

The Foreign Office said that Islamophobic incidents are legally and morally reprehensible, and the international community should condemn Islamophobic acts while Pakistan has informed the Swedish authorities about its concerns.
It should be noted that yesterday in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, the Holy Quran was once again set on fire.
The diplomatic dispute intensified over this issue, in view of which the Iraqi government has ordered the ambassador of Sweden in Baghdad to leave the country.
