MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said the entire Pakistan nation, including political parties, stands in solidarity with its Kashmiri brethren in their struggle to achieve right to self-determination.
He was talking to a delegation of AJK parliamentary leaders led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary who called on him in the AJK capital Muzaffarabad.
The prime minister directed that a committee comprising of all parliamentary leaders of AJK Legislative Assembly and representative of AJK Hurriyat Conference should be constituted and recommendations be presented to highlight Kashmir cause effectively.
In a separate meeting with a delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, led by Syed Abdullah Gilani and Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, the prime minister expressed the government’s resolve to raise the voice of the people of Kashmir at all global forums.
Both sides discussed matters pertaining to prevailing situation in Occupied Kashmir, illegal actions of BJP-led government in the held territory, ruthless curfew and communication lockdown, and brutalities and atrocities committed by Indian troops in Occupied Kashmir.
The prime minister said that fascist face of BJP-led regime, which is pursuing the RSS philosophy, stands exposed before the entire global community. He expressed resolve that the Indian government has failed to suppress the voice of the eight millions innocent people of Kashmir through use of brute force.
PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan will continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to people of Kashmir in achieving their right to self-determination. He regretted that international community has remained silent over massive human rights violations committed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
The delegation thanked the prime minister for highlighting the Kashmir cause at all international forums. It also presented recommendations to the prime minister for amicable solution of Kashmir issue.
