PM Imran meets members of Kashmir study group in US

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is attending the 74th session of the  United Nations General Assembly in New York, met with the founder of the Farooq  Kathwari Kashmir Study Group on Saturday.

The Prime Minister urged Kathwari to continue to inform the world about India’s military occupation and crimes against humanity in the occupied Kashmir so that they could see the true colours of the government of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said in a news release from the Prime Minister’s media team.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Adviser to Prime Minister for Trade, Textile, Industries, Production and Investment Abdul Razzak Dawood, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Naeemul Haque, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to United Nations Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi, Ambassador of Pakistan Asad Majeed Khan and other high officials.

Prime Minister Imran is planned to address the UN General Assembly on 27 September. He has already confirmed that he will raise the situation of Kashmir in his address, revealing the moral and legal aspects of the invasion of occupied Kashmir by India on 5 August.

The Prime Minister landed in New York on the weekend, giving him time to consult Pakistani officials in the USA, and key members of the Pakistani American Society before his meetings with the global leader.

Ambassador Lodhi has stated that this a “mission Kashmir” for the Prime Minister and for the Pakistan.
