ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a meeting of the National Security Committee today on Friday to discuss the security situation that has emerged by violent protests by the proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbik (TLP)
The meeting under PM will discuss strategies that will be considered to deal with the situation arising out of the protests by the banned TLP across the country. In a tweet, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said other matters relating to national security will also be discussed during the meeting.
The meeting will be attended by the Chiefs of the three Armed Forces, DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed. Senior officials including Defense Minister, Finance Advisor Shaukat Tareen, and National Security Advisor Dr Moeed Yousuf will also attend the meeting.

The security situation across the country will also be discussed. The military leaders will also brief Prime Minister Imran Khan and federal ministers on the situation along the Line of Control.
Earlier, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also called on the proscribed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) to stick to the promises, saying that the government would not allow Pakistan’s loss at any cost.
