PM asks parliamentarians to convince public on adopting COVID-19 SOPs

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the parliamentarians to remain in constant touch with the public in their constituencies and encourage them to adopt the Standard Operating Procedures against the COVID-19.
The prime minister expressed these views in his separate meetings with Member National Assembly Rai Murtaza Iqbal, Member Provincial Assembly Punjab Syed Samsam Ali Shah Bukhari, former MNAs Rai Hassan Nawaz, Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed and others.
Chief Whip of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in National Assembly Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar was also present in the meeting.
PM Khan also urged upon the parliamentarians to be vigilant about profiteering and hoarding in their areas to facilitate the common man on availability of necessary food items.
He emphasized to pay greater attention to helping the agriculture sector and small and medium sector enterprises. The meeting discussed the overall situation of the COVID-19 in the country besides the projects relating to social welfare and development.
The parliamentarians appreciated the vision of Imran Khan on addressing the challenge of COVID19 and the balanced policy of lockdown in view of giving relief to the poor and laborers across the country. Matters relating to the agricultural sector also came under discussion.
