ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed the former chief minister of Sindh, Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim as a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Sindh Affairs.
According to details, the prime minister appointed Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim as Special Assistant. The Cabinet Division has issued notification of the honourary appointment of Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
It may be recalled that earlier, PM Imran Khan had appointed Mahmood Moulvi, Senior Vice President, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi Division, as Special Assistant for Maritime Affairs.
Two months ago today, the federal government issued a notification for the appointment of Mahmood Moulvi as a special assistant. The post of Moulvi will be equal to that of a federal minister. The notification was issued on May 25.
Earlier, former Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim announced his joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a meeting with the prime minister.
On July 1, former Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim called on PM Imran Khan, during which Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and National Assembly member Ramesh Kumar were also present.
