It is important to note that the market was closed on Monday in observance of Labour Day.
On Friday, the rupee slightly strengthened against the US dollar, ending the day at 283.84 in the interbank market.
The rupee was mostly unchanged over the previous week due to a current account surplus and a lack of movement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
On the other hand, the United States urged Pakistan to forward the IMF-requested changes that had stalled, offering technical assistance and urging the nation to adopt laws that would support an open, equitable, and transparent economic environment.
