KARACHI: Pakistani rupee ended the week with a loss of 0.1 percent against the US dollar in the interbank market on Friday.
As per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the rupee closed at 224.94 after a decline of Rs0.23. The rupee has depreciated by 21.57% against the US dollar during the ongoing calendar year.

On Thursday, the rupee ended unchanged against the US dollar to settle at 224.71 in the inter-bank market.
Moreover, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) wanted to examine not just the previous quarter but also the following three quarters, in addition to how the government would deal with the $16 billion repair and rehabilitation phase of the floods, according to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday.
In addition, the amount of remittances received by Pakistan from foreign employees decreased further in November 2022, coming in at $2.108 billion, a 14.3% decrease from the same month the previous year.
