ISLAMABAD: There has been an extreme water crisis in the federal capital that has affected a daily life routine.
As per reports, sector G6, G7, H8 and other sectors of Islamabad have been facing severe water shortage which is caused due to the inadequacy of the Metropolitan Department of Water Supply.
People are receiving water only two days a week in Islamabad while the city’s total water requirement is 210 million gallons daily.
Only 54 million gallons of water is being supplied by the Metropolitan Corporation.
Moreover, the citizens also complained that 60 percent of water went missing but the Director of Water Supply Iqbal did not take the action.
Mayor Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz said that illegal water connections would be cut off immediately. In the winter, the worst water shortage has been caused by the poor water supply department, he added.
