Imprisoned PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the people of Pakistan buried narrative of May 9 on election day, adding that the nation did not accept that his party committed treason.
Addressing the media at Adiala Jail today, Imran Khan emphasized the need for identifying individuals involved in the May 9 incident through CCTV footage, drawing parallels to how those implicated in the Capitol Hill attack in the United States were apprehended with such evidence.
Khan expressed his concern over the delay in forming a judicial commission to investigate the May 9 incident, stressing the importance of a transparent inquiry. He insisted that those responsible for the incident must face consequences.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat urged the nation to join a protest on Sunday against the detention of party founder Imran Khan, the incarceration of political prisoners, and the alleged electoral fraud.
In a statement on X platform, Marwat highlighted Imran Khan’s denial of basic medical facilities, citing an eye infection and severe dental pain. He called for an end to such mistreatment and demanded immediate medical attention for Khan.
Marwat rallied Pakistanis to stand by Khan, warning against abandoning him and urging them to recognize their collective strength and courage. He emphasized that unity could overcome any obstacles and lead to meaningful change.
