LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan has said the board will reschedule the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches which have been suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In a press conference at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, today CEO Wasim said the decision to the postponement of PSL matches was made after consultations with all concerns.
He said the Pakistan Super League franchisers have fully cooperated over the decision, he added. The PCB ECO further said that the spreading of Coronavirus has affected the entire world since its outbreak now the cases of the diseases also growing in Pakistan.
He also said that PCB kept in touch with the Sindh and Punjab governments, respectively in the postponements of the matches. He also revealed that foreign players, who leave from the match, had tested positive from coronavirus.
Amid coronavirus threats, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday called off all remaining matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL-5) which are scheduled to be played in Pakistan.
The Pakistan Cricket Board officials have said that the matches were now will be rescheduled amid rising threats of Coronavirus in Pakistan. It further said the decision has been taken in the wake of players’ safety.
