Pakistan’s Banu Kausar Butt won gold medal at Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship by defeating Indian opponent in the women’s 48 kg category.
The 9th Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship was held in Jordan from May 23 to 25, in which many Asian countries participated.
The Pakistani team performed strongly, with multiple medals won including bronzes by M Ali Rashid, M Yousuf Ali, Israa Wasim, and Kainat Arif. Pakistan Jiu-Jitsu Federation Chairman Khalil Ahmed Khan praised the athletes’ hard work and success.
Pakistan’s young and talented boxer Bano Butt performed brilliantly in the event and won the gold medal by defeating her Indian rival Richa Sharma.
