Two senior Pakistani police officers, Colonels Kamran Ali and Umar Farooq, have been honored with a prestigious international diploma by Dubai Police. The award is part of the Police Innovation and Leadership Diploma (PIL), a collaborative initiative between Dubai Police and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Both officers praised Dubai Police’s “Smart. Secure. Together” philosophy, highlighting its effective use of artificial intelligence, proactive security measures, and strong community engagement.

With their extensive operational expertise, Colonels Ali and Farooq aim to adapt Dubai’s successful strategies to meet Pakistan’s unique law enforcement needs.
They say Dubai’s AI-driven and community-centered policing approach as a blueprint for efficient, inclusive, and trust-building practices. “This represents the future of policing,” Col. Ali emphasized.
Col. Umar Farooq added, “This diploma is more than an academic achievement; it’s an investment in the future of policing in Pakistan.” Their participation in the program reflects their commitment to modernizing Pakistan’s law enforcement framework, inspired by Dubai’s cutting-edge innovations and strategies.
