Pakistani-American documentary filmmaker Mohammed Ali Naqvi has secured an Emmy Award nomination for his work on the critically acclaimed Netflix docuseries Turning Point: The Bomb & The Cold War.
The nine-part series, directed by Brian Knappenberger, delves deep into the historical arc of the Cold War and its lasting impact on contemporary global conflicts.
Filmed over two years across seven countries, the series provides a comprehensive examination of geopolitical tensions stemming from the Cold War era.
It includes rare interviews with high-profile global figures such as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, former CIA Director Robert Gates, and former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Turning Point: The Bomb & The Cold War quickly gained international recognition upon release, rising to #3 on the Netflix Original Series chart and amassing over 621 million minutes of viewership within its initial weeks.
