Pakistan to compete in seven disciplines of Asian Beach Games
LAHORE: Pakistan will compete in seven disciplines of the 6th Asian Beach Games being held from 28 November to December 6 in China.
According to a statement issued by Pakistan Olympic Association, in a meeting with the concerned National Sports Federations, President, Pakistan Olympic Association, Syed Arif Hasan has approved the participation of Pakistani players in of the 6th Asian Beach Games.
Pakistan Olympic Association Secretary, Muhammad Khalid Mehmood said Pakistan will take part in seven disciplines, including Beach Handball, Beach Athletics, Sailing, Beach Volleyball, JuJitsu, Beach Kabaddi and Beach Wrestling.
Mehmood said Pakistan Olympic Association has sent entry by sport and entry by number forms of above disciplines to the organizing committee of the events within the given timeline.
He said the organizing committee of the event is accelerating the preparation in an orderly manner, hoping to bring everyone fantastic and magnificent Beach Games in China, he added.
He said quoting a letter to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the organizing committee informed that the resort city in tropical Hainan province where the event is being held, has not registered any new coronavirus case for over two months.
