The Government of Pakistan has sent a letter to the Nobel Committee in Norway recommending U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, in recognition of his role in the ceasefire during the Pakistan-India conflict.
According to details, the letter recommending U.S. President Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize was sent on behalf of the Government of Pakistan and signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
A report states that the letter sent by the Government of Pakistan to the Nobel Committee in Norway mentions Trump’s role in the Pakistan-India ceasefire and his efforts to highlight the Kashmir issue.
It is worth noting that recently there were reports that, in acknowledgment of President Trump’s decisive diplomatic intervention during the recent Pakistan-India crisis, the Government of Pakistan has decided to recommend him for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump had stated that he deserved the Nobel Prize for mediating the Pakistan-India ceasefire, but added that the Nobel Prize is only awarded to liberals and that he would not be given one.
Earlier, President Donald Trump also said on his social media platform Truth Social that he would not receive the Nobel Peace Prize no matter what he does—even if he stops a war between India and Pakistan.
