The federal government has announced an increase in the prices of petroleum products, with both petrol and high-speed diesel becoming more expensive.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs1.16 per litre. Following the revision, diesel will now be available at Rs383.95 per litre.
The government has also raised the price of petrol by 45 paisas per litre. The new petrol price has been set at Rs325.43 per litre.
The revised prices will apply under the latest petroleum price adjustment announced by the government. The increase is expected to add to transportation and operating costs, potentially affecting the prices of goods and services that depend heavily on fuel.
The Petroleum Division has issued the revised rates through an official notification, formally putting the new prices into effect.
