Pakistan Railways inaugurated the modern and upgraded coaches of the 125-Up and 126-Down Lathani Express on Friday, introducing enhanced passenger facilities on the Lahore–Narowal–Sialkot railway route.

Speaking at the ceremony, Additional General Manager (Mechanical) Yousaf Khan said that the upgrade is part of a broader initiative to modernize railway operations under the directives of Federal Minister for Railways, Hanif Abbasi.

The upgraded coaches are designed to provide passengers with safer, more comfortable, and higher-quality travel experiences.

Yousaf Khan added that thousands of passengers traveling daily between Lahore and Sialkot will benefit from the new coaches. Pakistan Railways plans to upgrade other trains in the coming months as part of its overall strategy to improve the department’s services.

After the ceremony, AGM Yousaf Khan inspected the upgraded train set and interacted with passengers.

He instructed officials to further enhance onboard services, make seats more comfortable, and strictly maintain cleanliness standards. The inauguration was attended by railway officials, staff, and a large number of passengers.
