LAHORE: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said that Pakistan was among the top contributors to UN Peacekeeping.
In a tweet today, Antonio Guterres wrote that it was inspiring to meet some of the brave women and men who have been serving for peace around the world.
In the ned, he appreciated and thanked the country for its service and sacrifice.

Earlier on Monday, addressing a banquet hosted in his honour by President Dr. Arif Alvi at the President House, said that Pakistan was among the countries most vulnerable to climate change.
He added the country was a peace-loving nation, which has rendered remarkable sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
In his address, President Dr. Arif Avli said despite being a poor country Pakistan hosted the largest number of refugees in recent history.
Commenting on rising polarisation in the world, the president said that the countries were building walls and letting the people drown in the Mediterranean Sea but were not allowing them to enter.
He said that he felt proud that Pakistan has hosted its neighbors for the last forty years. He expressed hope that the peace process in Afghanistan will bring prosperity and development in the region.
