Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have completed the technical-level discussions for the release of the next $1 billion tranche, with policy-level talks set to commence on Monday.
According to reports, the first phase of negotiations concluded successfully, during which a representative from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) met with the IMF mission on Friday.
The KP government briefed the IMF delegation on its economic measures, including legislation on agricultural income tax.
The discussions also covered initiatives to boost provincial revenues, strategies to enhance government performance, and governance reforms.
With the technical-level talks now completed, the policy-level negotiations will begin next week as part of the ongoing economic review.
