An American newspaper has warned that a global heat record could be set in Pakistan this week. The Washington Post claims that this week, temperatures in South Asia could approach the global record of 50 degrees Celsius.
According to details, the American newspaper warned that temperatures in central and southern parts of Pakistan could reach up to 50 degrees Celsius.
It is worth mentioning that previously, in April 2018, the temperature in the Pakistani city of Nawabshah had reached 50 degrees Celsius, which was a record for all of Asia.
On the other hand, a thunderstorm and rain alert has been issued for Punjab starting today. According to a PDMA spokesperson, from April 30 to May 4, dusty winds and thunderstorms with rain are expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Gujranwala.
In addition, thunderstorms and rain are also expected in Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Faisalabad, and other cities.
