The Pakistan cricket team has announced their playing XI for the first Test against England, scheduled to begin on October 7 in Multan.
During a press conference, Pakistan’s captain Shan Masood shared the final lineup, expressing confidence in the team’s potential. “This is our best XI. The inclusion of Aamer Jamal brings added strength, and we’ve kept a stable batting lineup to maintain consistency,” Masood remarked.
Reflecting on their previous series against England, where Pakistan narrowly missed out on victory, Masood discussed the strategies needed to challenge the Ollie Pope-led side. He acknowledged the absence of England’s star all-rounder, Ben Stokes, noting the impact of his absence while emphasizing England’s continued strength.
Pakistan will be aiming to recover from their recent loss to Bangladesh, where they were defeated by 10 wickets in the first Test and six wickets in the second in August.
