ISLAMABAD: The combined Opposition has decided to remove Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani after a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to opposition sources, it was hoped that Sadiq Sanjarani would show neutrality at least on this occasion. However, he has been consistently showing impartiality in the no-confidence motion against the prime minister.
As per the sources, the opposition has also decided to replace Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani. It may be recalled that a no-confidence motion has been filed by the United Opposition against PM Imran Khan while consultation was also held between Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani and Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser regarding the convening of the National Assembly.
On the other hand, the Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said that the National Assembly will convene soon. International forces are involved in the no-confidence motion. Pakistan’s public interest comes first, Imran Khan has brought an independent foreign policy for the first time. Pakistan is a free and independent country, all will have equal relations with the world, we will not take anyone’s dictation.
He said that it was the right of the opposition to bring a no-confidence motion. International forces were involved in the no-confidence motion but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stood firm with MN and its ally PM Imran Khan.
