KARACHI: An accused was killed and two others were arrested in the injured condition during rangers encounter in Manghopir area of the metropolis.
According to Rangers’ spokesperson Major Qambar Raza, on a tip-off, rangers and police conducted a joint targeted operation in Karachi’s Monghopir area.
On seeing the raided team, the accused opened fire at them, which was retaliated. During the shootout for some time, three criminals, including a notorious target killer, Abdullah Masood, and his two accomplices, Sherullah alias Shina and Muhammad Sohail sustained severe bullet injuries
The rangers arrested the criminals in injured condition and Shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Abdullah Masood succumbed, the spokesman man added.
Police sources said that the arrested persons were involved in several crimes, including target killing, robberies, kidnapping for ransom, attacks on forces and drug peddling in different parts of the city.
Illegal weapons, motorbikes and drugs were also recovered from the possession of criminals.
