KOHLU: At least one person was killed, and 14 others injured in a blast in Balochistan’s Kohlu district, police said on Friday.
According to the police, the blast occurred at a store in Kohlu’s main bazaar, caused one fatality and fifteen injuries. However, it has not yet been determined what caused the explosion.
Levies and FC personnel arrived on the scene shortly after the event and transported the injured to the Kohlu district hospital. After the blast, rescue teams started digging individuals out from under the rubble.
Several people are stuck under debris from the shop as a result of the explosion, but a rescue operation is underway, they added
The Medical Superintendent (MS) of district hospital said that the condition of several injured was critical. Meanwhile, Security forces cordoned off the area and further investigation was underway.
The Chief Minister’s advisor for home, Mir Zia Langove, has asked for a report on the Kohlu explosion and given the necessary authorities the go-ahead to investigate all pertinent aspects of the explosion.
He declared, “We will not let terrorists succeed in their evil plans.”
