ISLAMABAD: Khawaja Harris, counsel for the parents of Zahir Jaffer, the main accused in the Noor murder case, has said that no statement was taken from his client after he was remanded in custody.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has heard the bail pleas of accused Zahir Jaffer’s parents in the Noor Muqadam murder case. Khawaja Harris, counsel for the petitioner, told the court that the police were relying on the statement of Zahir Jaffer.
No statement was taken from his client after his remand. It is not known what the police wrote on their record. As per the police challan, Zahir Jaffer was in touch with his parents.

Khawaja Harris said that Zakir Jaffer and Ismat Adam were not questioned by the police in physical remand. According to the police challan, if Zakir Jaffer had told the police before the murder, Noor Muqadam’s life would have been saved.
Zakir Jaffer called the police and said that Zahir Jaffer’s condition was not good. They took him away. According to the police challan, Zahir Jaffer’s parents have assisted in the incident.
