ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court Chief Justice, Athar Minallah has said that no one is above the law, not even him.
After hearing a case, chief justice Athar Minallah remarked on the incident two days ago and said that out of 6,000 cases, only 100 lawyers were attacked but notorious. Athar Minallah said that the attack on IHC is the humiliation of 90 martyrs of the lawyers’ movement, no including me is above law, the law will make its own way.
Deputy Attorney General Syed Tayyab Shah while talking to the Chief Justice said that we are ashamed of the attack on the IHC on which Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that Quaid-e-Azam got this Pakistan because of his professional conduct.

The district administration, Capital Development Authority (CDA) as well as the local police had launched an anti-encroachment operation in the surroundings of the district courts in F-8 late Sunday night.
Dozens of illegally-constructed offices of the lawyers were demolished and around 10 lawyers were taken into custody for putting up resistance against the drive. In response to the operation, some 400 lawyers gathered in the district courts on Monday morning. Later they left for the IHC in a convoy of 100 cars, reaching the court without any hindrance.
The lawyers stormed into the chamber of the IHC chief justice and damaged the property. They broke windows with flower pots and also hurled abuses at the judges.
