ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said no occupation can subjugate the spirit of the brave people of Kashmir.
In a tweet on the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs Day, the foreign minister also paid tribute to the courage of 22 martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir who sacrificed their lives on this day in 1931 in the face of brutal Dogra forces.
The foreign minister said brave Kashmiris have galvanized decades-old struggle for self-determination, an inalienable right for which Kashmiris will continue to die for this day.

Meanwhile, Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan called on international community to play its role in finding lasting solution to Kashmir dispute according to the United Nation resolutions.
In a video message on the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, he said in continuation to the massacre of 13 July 1931, the Modi government has invoked the policy of ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri people in order to change the demography of the state.
AJK President said new domicile rules are aimed at converting Muslim majority into minority and Hindus are being settled in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which is the worst example of colonialism in 21st century.
