Sushmita Sen has clarified recent rumors about her dating status, denying any current relationship. Reports had suggested she was back with her ex-boyfriend Rohman Shawl. Speaking on actress Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Sushmita disclosed that she has been single for the past two years. She emphasized that while she has wonderful friends, she is not currently involved romantically with anyone.
In an interview with HT, she stated, “I have no man in my life. I’ve been single for a while. It has been almost two years since I have been single, to be precise since 2021… I am not in a relationship. I have some incredibly wonderful people in my life who are my friends and they are all just waiting for a moment for me to call them and say, ‘Look, I’m pulling the car out, get in the backseat. We’re driving to Goa.’”
The former Miss Universe also announced that she is taking a break from dating and is enjoying this phase. She explained, “I am not even interested in anyone at the moment. It is lovely to take a break because I was in a relationship for almost five years. And that was a long time.”
During the podcast, Rhea playfully teased Sushmita by saying, “Do you know there’s a bigger gold digger than you in the room?” Sushmita responded with sarcasm, “Oh, really?” to which Rhea joked, “Me.” The exchange was light-hearted banter between the two actresses.
