No change was made in team because of Babar Azam: Chairman PCB

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board chief Zaka Ashraf has said that no change was made in the team for the World Cup because captain Babar Azam did not want it.

While talking on a private TV program yesterday, Chairman PCB said, “How can I go to India? Our cricket fans and journalists are waiting for Indian visas.”

Zaka Ashraf said that there is hope that the national team under the leadership of Babar Azam will perform well on Indian soil, reviewed the performance of the national team in the Asia Cup, did not change the team because the captain Babar Azam did not want it.

Chairman PCB expressed his desire regarding the World Cup and said, “The team should give a good performance in India, that’s all I wanted, keeping this in mind, he accepted everything of captain Babar Azam, gave him full confidence, and gave him full support.”

In response to a question, he said that the Pakistan Super League will be held in the country or outside, they will decide according to the situation.
