The Punjab School Education Department has announced new school timings as summer vacations come to an end. Starting August 15, schools across Punjab will adhere to revised schedules.
For schools operating a single shift, the timings will be from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM from Monday to Thursday, and from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays. Schools with double shifts will have their morning session from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM, and the evening shift from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM on Fridays.
Teachers will follow a distinct schedule: those at regular schools will work from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays. In double-shift schools, teachers will have morning shift hours from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and evening shift hours from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM during weekdays.
Schools across the province will open on August 15 after the completion of the extended summer vacations. The vocations were extended by 14 days due to harsh rainy weather.
