The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted the arrival of a strong westerly wave, expected to reach the western and upper regions of the country on Monday night. This weather system will impact the upper and central parts of Pakistan from March 25 to 27.
From March 25 to 28, widespread rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are anticipated in various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, including Diamer, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur are likely to experience similar conditions. Snowfall is also expected over mountainous regions, with occasional heavy downpours.
From March 25 to 27, rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds—accompanied by snowfall over high-altitude areas—are forecasted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Swabi. Some areas may also experience hailstorms.
Moreover, Waziristan, Kohat, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan are expected to receive rainfall and thunderstorms on March 25 and 26, with isolated hailstorms during this period.

From March 25 to 27, rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by occasional hailstorms, are expected in Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Faisalabad.
Meanwhile, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Muzaffargarh, Taunsa Sharif, and Khanewal are likely to experience similar weather conditions on March 25 and 26.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Zhob, Musakhel, Chaman, Mastung, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Loralai, Barkhan, Sibi, Khuzdar, Chagai, and Noshki on March 25 and 26. Morover, isolated wind and dust storms may affect some upper parts of the province during this period.
