The Pakistan government has submitted a report detailing the facilities provided to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
During a Supreme Court hearing regarding amendments to the NAB law, Khan, who is incarcerated at Adiala Jail, claimed he was being held in solitary confinement.
“They do not allow me to meet with my legal team. I am being kept in solitary confinement here. I neither have any materials nor access to a library to prepare for the case,” Khan informed Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa during the hearing.
Photos presented to the court revealed that the former Prime Minister was confined to a small cell with an open bathroom. This revelation shocked many Pakistanis, who were appalled at the treatment of the former premier and leader of the largest political party in the country.
